Bulgarian Association for Conservation of Birds of Prey is Non-Governmental Organization found in 13.04.2001г. in the capital city of Sofia. Main purpose of the Association is protection of birds of prey, their habitats, and food base; assisting State and Territorial Institutions and other non-governmental nature conservation organizations in their wildlife conservation activities and in particular birds of prey; promoting the importance of raptors for the proper functioning of ecosystems; supporting populations of rare and protected species of birds of prey through environmentally friendly events; reintroduction of species extinct from the fauna of Bulgaria; limiting the illegal killing, capture, and trade of raptors. Since 2002, BACBP is a member of the International Association for Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey - IAF.

Chairman of BACBP since its foundation is Mr.Pavel Yakimov.
